ROCKING THE STUBBLE

If you're looking for the Beckham-esque 3-day stubble beard but aren't sure it's the look for you NIVEA MEN is here to help you decide. And your decision should be yes. A recent study shows women find men with heavy stubble more attractive than their clean shave counterparts and the fully bearded brethren

HOW TO ROCK THE PERFECT STUBBLE

Find out how to avoid shaving or stubble rash and get those stubble styles on point

Yes, being more attractive is a great reason to start rocking the stubble, but there are more benefits to having a little facial hair. If your skin reacts harshly to shaving, try our NIVEA MEN Sensitive Shaving Foam or shave less often. By retiring the razor and picking up a stubble trimmer there's a good chance that both razor burn and ingrown hairs will become a part of the past. Well maintained stubble can also make your face look more symmetrical and cover facial imperfections. That doesn't mean ignoring your skincare though, stubble rash can still be a thing. After using a trimmer it's a good idea to still apply NIVEA MEN Sensitive After Shave Balm to soothe the skin. Once you've got your new stubble style down, you'll take your newfound masculinity to new heights

THE 3-DAY BEARD

THE 3 DAY BEARD

The 3-day stubble beard is a great place to start, it allows you to take your facial hair for a test drive over the weekend away from prying eyes and co-workers glances. So, start on Friday and if on Sunday night you're not a fan, you just have to get rid of it. Having stubble can require some maintenance though. Make sure to moisturize underneath your stubble with a good NIVEA MEN Moisturizer, especially if you have a date planned and want it to be gentle on your partners skin. So how do you grow a stubble? Pretty simple, don't shave for 3 days, and maybe even a few more depending on the speed of your facial hair growth. By this time, you should have between 2 and 3 mm in beard length, which will give you that rugged, stylish look. The 3-day beard is especially flattering for more angular faces leading to a slim, more rounded profile. To maintain stubble, you'll want to break out the beard trimmer every few days to keep your stubble the same length, if you're the type to get a 5 o'clock shadow you'll have to break it out more often. Select a guard for your trimmer, again between 2 - 3 mm and run the clippers over your face and neck. You'll want to remove the guard to clean up the edges such as the lips, below the nose and your neckline being careful to cut off any flyaways. If stubble grows high up your cheeks and far down your neck, you'll want to define the neckline/cheeks a little more. Avoid shaping stubble into sharp, straight lines to keep the natural stubble look. Now you can sit back, relax and be comforted in knowing you're even more attractive.

YOU’RE NOT DONE YET

THE 3 DAY BEARD

Yes, you have a bit of a beard going on but you'll need to keep it clean. Simply lather up your stubble and apply a moisturizer like NIVEA MEN Maximum Hydration Body Lotion after drying to rehydrate skin and relieve beard itch by softening up your whiskers.
